Yesterday is very beautiful day for me. One of my projector is down. It could not be turning on. It happen on last Friday while one of my user is reporting the Dell 1800MP projector cannot turning on. The LED on lamp status keep flashing. I assume this is a normal problem and must change the bulb lamp.
I get the quotation from Dell for Bulb Lamp. The price is RM939 (around $268). It really expensive. I’m try figure out the other way to solved this problem. And i found one good solution with also save a lot of my money. IT IS NOT A BLUB Problem. It just a capacitor problem and need to change to the new one.
I get a help from my friend to disassemble and remove all part of the projector. Get the power supply board which is allocated the burn capacitor . He help me and change the capacitor with only RM2 for the capacitor. Guess what?? It working fine. And my Dell 1800MP Projector can be turning on as normal.
Thanks to my friend for helping change the burn capacitor to new one. And also THOUSAND thanks to ikhmer2 for the guide for changing the capacitor. The result is really brilliant. I save a lot of money instead changing the projector bulb.
