The lotus notes trick is back. Yesterday one of my use is call. She’s have a problem on Lotus Notes. She’s not able to open her mailbox database. It stuck on prompt password. It just at the beginning to start the Lotus Notes 8.0.2. She’s mention got one error “Invalid or nonexistent document”. The error come out after she’s type in her Lotus mailbox password.
So this is a new challenge for me. It never facing this problem before. I try to rename cache.ndk and desktop6.ndk file. But the problem still occured and it NOT SOLVED THE PROBLEM. I’m also try to reinstall the Lotus Notes 8.0.2. But result is sill the same. Finally i go d eep the problem. I check on the pc, it have so many folder names lotus. And i’m suspect Lotus Notes running improperly.
Here is my solution :
1) Uninstall or remove Lotus Notus from the Computer
2) Rename all folder name Lotus on the computer. Do Not Delete. Otherwise you do not have any backup for you Mail file. Rename like lotus_old or some word else.
3) Install new fresh Lotus Notes 8.0.2 to the PC. Normally it install to C:\Lotus
4) Test login to the Lotus Notes. It should be able access as a normal.
5) For Contact, copy names.nsf from your old lotus folder. Paste it to C:\Lotus\Notes.
6) Now you be able use your Lotus .
